Tourist attractions: Where to visit when you’ve hired a minibus

If you have rallied the troops and you are ready for a sight-seeing tour, a day out or a weekend away, there are plenty of popular tourist attractions to suit people of all ages.

Hiring a minibus is an ideal way for a party of people to take a trip. Affording the perfect opportunity to get everyone together, mini bus hire is also good on the pocket – one vehicle, one fuel tank to fill!

In the London area, there are many tourist attractions. The most notable, of course, Buckingham Palace is the splendid royal residence that exhibits a magnificent exterior. Witness the changing of the guard and take a tour of the 19 state rooms that are open to visitors in August and September.

Still standing strong after 900-years, The Tower of London is always a popular tourist attraction. Guarded by Yeoman Warders, more popularly known as Beefeaters, the White Tower was built to strike fear and submission into the unruly citizens of London – it is the oldest part of the tower. With 4 floors to visit, you can explore Norman architecture and the Royal Armouries Collections.

The London Eye is a familiar landmark on London’s skyline; offering panoramic views from its 32 capsules, each of which can hold up to 25 people. Spanning up to 40 miles from the 800ft high observation deck, the view from The Shard is also spectacular – Western Europe’s tallest building.

There are also some amazing theme parks, such as Alton Towers in Staffordshire. With a funtastic expanse of rides, a water park and high-quality hotels, there is surely something for all the family… and friends!

Longleat Safari Park in Warminster boasts a drive-through wild animal park, which is home to some fascinating animals that are living in their natural habitat. Including an Elizabethan house, theme park amusements and various events, you can also enjoy Monkey Mayhem and visit an African village. Feed the giraffes, sea lions and deer or hunt down the pack in Wolf Wood… if you think you’re brave enough!

Chessington World of Adventures Resort in Kingston upon Thames is an exciting theme park that includes a zoo, water rides, a Sea Life Centre and a safari-themed hotel. With special trips organised for Scouts, Guides and youth groups, school parties and toddler/pre-school groups are also very welcome.
