Van Hire Extras You May Want to Consider

It always pays to be well-prepared for every travel eventuality, especially if you intend to rent a van in London. If you are going on a trip or moving home, you may want to take a look at these extras first.

Van Hire Extras You May Want to Consider Renting

While some van hire extras are not an absolute necessity, others are invaluable when you are moving house or going on long trips:

GPS Units

Getting lost is usually part of the adventure, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. GPS units allow you to identify your exact location by creating a course you can easily follow to reach your destination. They also help to find stolen vehicles through their tracking system.

Child Car Seats

This particular extra is important if you intend to travel with children. According to UK law, children must use car seats until they are 135 centimetres tall or 12 years old.

Transit Blankets

These blankets protect your appliances and furniture while they are being transported. Available at minimal cost, they are also known as moving blankets.

Straps

Moving straps or lifting straps help by doubling the security of your furniture during transportation. Ideally used with transit blankets, they are wrapped around your furniture or appliances to ensure their stability.

Safety or Visibility

Other European countries already require travellers to carry safety vests as an extra line of protection in the event of vehicular breakdowns. Although this law has not yet been implemented in the UK, safety vests could prove to be invaluable in times of emergencies, allowing other motorists to see you when you are changing tyres, etc., especially in the dark.

50% off van hire between 24th December 2024 and 2nd January 2025.

Excludes Minibuses.
