After this near-death experience, Carly and Rickie who operate North London company, H&H Van Hire Ltd, have enlisted the help of their family and friends to take part in a daring skydive on 11th December – to raise money for CATS, GOSH and Barnet General Hospital Paediatric A&E.
Charlotte Hicks, Alex Hicks, Nicky Quigley, Charlie Lannon, Ryan Coffey and James Frost will also be braving the leap to fundraise for the life-saving facilities.
“This is such a big deal to these guys!” says Carly. “All but one have never done this before and are scared out of their lives!”

The Hicks are asking people to support their two online fundraising campaigns: Learn from Lily’s Journey at https://fundrazr.com/61AF3a is an ongoing support page that is raising awareness of meningitis, while Jump for Lily’s Journey at https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/c162of is focusing on the skydive.
“We will never be able to repay these people for what they have done but we want to raise awareness by sharing our story, so that people can learn the symptoms of meningitis,” Carly added. “Just like everyone else, we never expected this to happen to us.”
“These people are our heroes. After spending all our time with them, we learned how much they depend on receiving donations to help them get the equipment and resources needed to save children’s lives.”
