British Music Festivals 2017

  1. Creamfields, Daresbury (24th to 27th August)

Cream has become a global dance brand and this year’s legendary festival headlines with Tiësto, Deadmau5, Martin Garrix and Eric Prydz, who will entertain tens of thousands of festival-goers who want to party to the extreme, with immense lighting and pyrotechnics.

  1. Glastonbury, Pilton, Somerset (June 21st to 25th)

Headliners Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters and Radiohead lead the way in one of Great Britain’s oldest festivals. The famous Pyramid Stage features arena bands with a massive following and there are also plenty of circus and theatre shows 24 hours a day, with the best street food stalls in the land.

  1. Boardmasters, Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach, Newquay (9th to 13th August)

Jamiroquai, Two Door Cinema Club, Andy C and Alt-J headline this year’s spectacular festival on the sunny south-west coast. A paradise for skaters, surfers and BMX kings, live action including cliff-top sessions and surf shacks is mixed seamlessly with a backdrop of pulsating music.

  1. Camp Bestival, Lulworth Castle (27th to 30th July)

Madness, Brian Wilson, Mark Ronson, Underworld, Kaiser Chiefs and Clean Bandit lead the onslaught at the Dorset family-friendly festival. The breathtaking surroundings of the historic castle host this mid-summer festival where you will be entertained by music, face-painting, medieval jousting, poetry and comedy performances.

  1. Download Festival, Donnington Park (9th to 11th June)

Aerosmith, Biffy Clyro and System of a Down headline the UK’s leading heavy metal and hard rock festival, which superseded the Monsters of Rock at Donnington. Enjoy three days of the world’s biggest bands that span from the ’70s up to the present day.

  1. Great Escape, Brighton (18th to 20th May)

Rag ‘N’ Bone Man and Slaves headline at Brighton’s music bonanza. Offering festival-goers a seaside holiday with a difference, around 400 bands will play at 35 venues – with one wristband enabling entry to each. Combine listening to bands with sunbathing… that sounds like heaven to me!

  1. Green Man Festival, Brecon Beacons (17th to 20th August)

PJ Harvey, Future Islands and Ryan Adams headline Wales’ premier music festival. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Black Mountains, a folk-led line-up of 1,500 artists includes bands, comedians, theatre and literary performances… and we must of course mention the local cider and ales that will be on offer.

  1. Isle of Wight Festival, Newport (8th to 11th June)

Where pop and electronic genres collide; Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart, The Prodigy, Run DMC, Arcade Fire, Pharrell Williams and David Guetta headline at this major festival’s reincarnation.
